All Star Baseball League (Hands-on)
This league will focus on using star players. League size will be kept
small (9 teams for the 2005 season), and will never expand beyond half
the number of teams in MLB. Playing limits will be turned off for all
players that played more than half the season. So if you want to play
in a league that will let your stars shine, then this league is for you!
We are looking for a few owners for
next season. We will use Diamond Mind version 9 and the 2004 season disk.
If you are interested in becoming an owner contact Rick Efting at Nike_sox@yahoo.com
or visit the league website at http://www.geocities.com/nike_sox/
A League Of Our Own (Hands-on)
A League Of Our Own uses the current season disk. We are always looking for good reliable people who love the game of replay simulation baseball. There are 16 current managers and we are looking to expand to 20 teams. Our members are longtime players of replay simulation baseball, some from as early as 1979. We pride ourselves on courteous and friendly relationships, fair trades and fair play. All of our managers control all aspects of their team, from trading, drafting, creating manager profiles, to playing their home games. If you are looking to join please e-mail me at LLnayo15@adelphia.net and visit our web site at http://users.myacc.net/~dsorx/ALOOO/index.htm
American Baseball League (Hands-on)
The ABL is a 24 team, play-by-email baseball draft league with a unique
salary structure system. The season runs from April to October, with an
8-team playoff tournament in November. The regular season consists of
160 games, and players are restricted to their actual usage. All teams
are subject to a hard salary cap (no trading of cap space or money). The
offseason consists of a free agent bidding phase and a rookie
draft. The current season (based on the
2004 ratings) will be our 6th season. There are no dues, but you must
have access to AOL or AIM to participate in the draft. Please contact the commissioner, Roy Gorham, for info about league openings. This is not a beginner's league, so only experienced managers will be considered.

Americas Baseball League (Centralized)
The ABL (America's Baseball League) has just finished its 2nd successful season and may be looking for some new recruits. We will be playing the 2005 season using Version 9. Our format is pretty simple. We have 14 teams (7 AL & NL teams) and we send 3 teams from each division to the playoffs. 2nd & 3rd place teams play each other in each league for the opportunity to play the #1 seed in their respective league. Winner goes on to the ABL World Series. We are looking for dedicated managers who know Diamond Mind and know baseball in general. If you are that individual, please contact Dan Bayless at Commish@ablbaseball.net or Jarrod Sinclair Sinclair@ablbaseball.net. Our offseason will official begin when the new data becomes available sometime in mid December.
Our league is a players league, all trades will have an opportunity to be veto'd if enough managers step forward. No dues, this is a fun league and does not cost me anything to run it other than the data each year and thats minimal. We run our season parallel with MLB. We play/run sims on Sundays and the website is posted that night each week. We strongly encourage head to head play, if not its not a big deal, just more fun playing head to head. We look forward to having you come aboard and thank you.

America's Pastime League (Centralized)
The America's Pastime League (APL), which began in 1999, is free, fun
and offers continuous ownership. The League consists of two different
leagues:
APL-1 - This league consists of players from various years and eras.
Each team consists of a 40 man roster (28 active and 12 inactive). Each
player is assigned a salary, and each team is given a fantasy budget to
use. APL is a non-DH league and does allow injuries. Players are taken
from the following season disks: DMB All-Time Teams Disks, and various
other seasons from the 1930's to the 1960's. The commissioner uses Diamond
Mind ver 8. We play a 154 game schedule. Currently we have two divisions,
with the 1st and 2nd place teams advancing to the World Series. A draft
of free agents occurs in late March, with the season beginning in mid-April.
Weekly stats and periodic newsletters are sent via email, so you need
a valid email address. We currently have no openings, however are taking
names of people interested for future ownership opportunities.
APL-2 - This is a new single season league. Rules are similar to APL-1,
however the only players eligible are from one season and there are no
salaries attached to the players. We began with the 1955 season and have
just completed the 1957 season. We currently do not have any openings,
however are taking names of people interested for future ownership opportunities.
This league ususally goes through the winter months. If interested in
signing up for this league or have previously expressed interest in the
APL, please send an email to the following contacts: either Terry Baxter
at baxter2000@prodigy.net
or Jerry Cada at cadadata@juno.com.
You can also visit our website at http://www.geocities.com/baseballsim/opening.html
Amigo League (Centralized)
The Amigo League is a 10-team league using the most current season disk
to play our seasons. Games
are simmed on commissioner's machine twice a week, one series at a time.
We have a fun league full of managers with good senses of humor and lots
of involvement. Requirements include: Sending in and keeping your manager
profiles current, ability to draft live over the net or in person, at
least modest participation in daily email league "smack talk",
a decent knowledge of baseball, a good sense of humor, and most importantly,
the desire, ability, dedication and excitement to build a quality franchise
through crafty GM-ing. We play from April-June/July, and hold the draft
in the fall/early winter. There are currently two openings for expansion teams starting next season (year 2005, using the 2005 season disk), so please contact
us if interested. Please contact Joe at joestros2002@yahoo.com
and please visit our website at http://pages.sbcglobal.net/joestros/
Apartment League Baseball (Centralized)
Apartment League Baseball offers a free, continuous centralized league.
Currently, the league consists of 20 teams in 4 divisions. The ALB has
been ongoing since 1989. The website is http://users.ev1.net/~marceck/alb.
At the conclusion of each season, owners are allowed to keep 15 players
for the next year. A draft takes place in the spring allowing an owner
to carry 25-29 players. There is a salary cap and we use The Sporting
News Fantasy Baseball magazine for salary information. For more information,
visit the website or email the Commish himself: marceck@ev1.net
Apollo League (Centralized)
Named for the Apollo Space Program and is dedicated to the Astronauts
who gave their lives for it. This league started with the 1968 stats and
is currently in the 1972 season (free agent draft as of this update). The league
consists of 14 teams at this time. We have one opening currently. The
website can be reached at http://www.geocities.com/daytona820000/index.html.

Back in the Day Winter League (Hands-on)
Thought you missed the opportunity to draft and manage a team comprised of the
classic players of your youth or your father's youth? The 1970 season was chock full
of future hall of fame players like Yaz, Tom Seaver, Jim Palmer, Bob Gibson,
Catfish Hunter, Willie Mays, Johnny Bench, Hank Aaron, Willie Stargell,
Frank Robinson and Harmon Killebrew, just to name a few. Well, here is your
opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new league that will help pass
the time each winter between your regular baseball leagues, as you battle wits
with some really great sim owners managing some really great classic players.
The BDWL is planning to have its inaugural draft on or around October 1, 2004,
and start the season around November 1, 2004. We intend to have 16 teams (there
is one spot open) that will draft rosters from the 1970 season disk and you
will be able to protect 12 players each year. If you protect a player (unless you
trade the player or the player retires) you will continue to own that player
throughout his career as we follow-up next winter with the 1971 season and so on.
The league constitution can be found at
http://ggwinfo.com/BDWL/BDWLConstitution.htm.
For more information, please contact: gwoertz@hotmail.com
Back to the Future Baseball League (Hands-on)
The Back to the Future Baseball League is looking for a dedicated owner to take
over a team in its 6th season – draft starts in February. The league is a
continuing ownership draft league and currently has 18 teams which are the same
18 Major League franchises from 1961. We have taken the cities, nicknames and
stadiums from the early 60's, however, we use today's players. It will be like
the "good ol' days", no DH, no artificial turf, no domes, no players in the
Majors who should be in the minors. Each team can only protect players from last
year that reached 75% usage so those just coming into the league will be able to
build their team quickly. There is no hoarding players!!! One established team
is available, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and a second team may come available. Our
web site is http://www3.sympatico.ca/hableaf
- please contact Tony at hableaf@sympatico.ca
for more information or complete the application form on the website.
Ball State Sand Lot League (Centralized)
The BSSLL has been in operation since 1998. We are a 24-team, keeper league. We have 40 man rosters and a separate "prospect" draft and roster. We simulate free agency by having players removed from each team every year using the national "powerball lottery" to select the players by a pre-assigned number. This allows us to have players leave for free agency every year at about the same rate as MLB. We pride ourselves on our realistic rules and policies. We use Diamond Mind 9 and the current season disk. Please
visit the league web site for more info at http://bssll.tripod.com/ or our mailing list at http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/bssll/
Barry Brush Memorial League (Hands-on)
The BBML begins its 17th season this spring. The league runs from April
- September, with the playoffs in October. The BBML is a 24 team league with many owners who have been in the league for over 10 years. Owners retain their team from
year to year with the rookie draft starting in early January. If you have interest in the league and want
to be on the waiting list for an existing team, contact Rob Adams at radams13@cox.net
or check out the web site - http://members.cox.net/radams13/BBML.html
Baseball Is the Perfect Game League (Hands-on)
Want a challenge without the headaches of a salary cap? Join the Baseball
is the Perfect Game League. Drafting now, the BPGL is a free 24 team hands-on
league with 110% usage restrictions. We will use version 9, play with
the most current disk and the season will run with roughly the same schedule
as the Major League calendar. The initial draft is going on now, and the
bulk of it will be April 3rd by a live Yahoo Chat. Initial draft order
will be snaked and the order determined by a random number lottery. We'll
play our own away games. There will be no salaries and we will keep only
12 players, but the trick is that they will be protected at the BEGINNING
of the season rather than at the end. This ensures a deep rookie pool
every spring, allows teams to rebuild quickly and makes it very difficult
to build dynasties. Web page is http://users4.ev1.net/~Spanky68/.
Contact the commish at Spanky68@ev1.net
Baseball League in Arlington (Hands-on)
The Baseball League in Arlington is in its 10th season and is a 24-team
draft league, with members spread over four time zones. We have a lively
mix of sportswriters, radio hosts, PhDs, and assorted seamheads. We've
held our draft at The Ballpark in Arlington and try to gather each year for a midsummer
"BLA-fest". Please read our rules at http://www.blaball.com
to see if the league is right for you. We play our road games, not home
games. We keep only 12 players from season to season. If you want to be
a part of the most challenging league on the Internet, contact our League
Czar, Gil LeBreton, at glebreton@charter.net.
Baseball League of the Millenium (Hands-on)
The Baseball League of the Millennium (BLM) is a continuous ownership, hands-on,
salary cap driven league founded in 2004, using the 1999 season disk. The BLM is
a 20 team league, 2 leagues, 2 divisions in each; the DH will be used in one of the leagues.
The BLM will enforce a salary cap, the salaries used will be the real life salaries
of the players that were used on the Diamond Mind season disk for that season. Every
player's salary will change from year to year based upon their real life change in
salary and will cause you to make the dreaded salary cap casualties from year to
year, such as those that are made in the NFL, the difference being that every
contract is a non-guaranteed one year deal and there will be NO salary cap penalties.
Only players who are on your current roster will count against your team cap number.
There are no mandatory cuts besides those that are salary cap related. Please e-mail
rslietzau@earthlink.net if you are
interested in joining or for a copy of the constitution.
Baseball Replay Association (Hands-on)
The 24-team contemporary Baseball Replay Association (BRA) has continually
operated since 1979. After launching with Replay Baseball, the BRA switched
to PTP in the early 1990s. Membership is stable with three charter members
still at the helm. Managers range in age from youngsters in their 30s
to senior citizens. Annual roster freezes limit teams to between 15 and
17 players and teams gain rookies from their major league counterpart
organizations. Every five years (next in 2005) the teams cut down to between
5 and 10 players thereby discouraging dynasties and giving new managers
a shot at contending. The 160-game season runs from March through October
at the pace of 20 games per month. "El Presidente" and founder
of the BRA is Jack Kohn, patnjack@aol.com.
The BRA rules etc. can be viewed at: http://hometown.aol.com/patnjack/myhomepage/club.html
Baseball Replay Project (Centralized)
The Baseball Replay Project (BRP) offers an alternative in the small
world of stock-roster historical replays. Teams follow historical schedules,
with transactions enacted on their exact historical dates, and approximately
10-day play periods. Themes are chosen from existing Classic Past Seasons
issued by Diamond Mind as well as from earlier seasons carefully designed
and tested by the commissioner. Themes featuring the 1950s (continuing
with 1951) and 1930s (1931) will start soon. A 1921 theme will begin in
the late Spring. For more information, contact Christopher Williams at
cawilli@bgnet.bgsu.edu
Beardsley Championship Baseball League (BCBL)
(Hands-on)
Beardsley Championship Baseball League (BCBL) -- Playing ball for 23
years and still thriving! The BCBL started more than two decades ago,
when Gary Carter was behind the plate and Jimmy Carter was in the White
House. Our strongest selling point is member involvement, showcased by
an always entertaining league newsletter, an annual draft in Chicago,
and on-line archives of league history, statistics, and records reaching
back to our first year. The BCBL consists of 24 teams that play a 168-game
season running April-November. Team and player ownership is continuous.
Features of the league include e-mail stat reporting, annual rookie draft,
free agent bidding, playoffs, on-line archives, constitution, and the
3-day BCBL convention in March where trophies are awarded to winners.
The most current version of DMB is used. The BCBL is for baseball fans
who like real competition but like to have fun, too. For more information
(but be warned...our waiting list is long and there hasn't been an opening
for years), contact Bob Courter at bob25@worldnet.att.net
or visit our web site at http://home.earthlink.net/~ewkaufman/bcbl/
Biff Pocaroba Retro League (Hands-on)
The Biff Pocoroba Retro League (BPRL) is a new hands-on draft league that will

Interested owners please contact Dan at ddonovan26@hotmail.com
for more information and a copy of the constitution. We plan to begin the draft in
early November when all 20 owners are on board.
Big Daddy Baseball League (Hands-on)
The Big Daddy Baseball League (BDBL) is a 24-team league founded in the

Black Sox Memorial League (Centralized)
The Black Sox Memorial League was founded in 1999 by commissioner Timothy
Farmer. The league was built as a foundation for baseball fans to gather
and see who can create the ultimate team. The league contracted to 20
teams in 2002, and is currently on hiatus for the 2003 season due to commissioner
burnout. If the league returns to form in 2004, we will use the 2002 disk.
Contact Timothy Farmer at bsml_lp2@hotmail.com
or view the website at http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/bsml/index.html.
Boys of Summer Baseball League (Centralized)
The Boys of Summer Baseball League is a centralized DMB league that is
not run like your typical league. In the BOSBBL, the computer drafts your
team and you manage the "hand you are dealt". The only way to
improve your team is through free agency and trades. This will be a good
challenge for the owners and we'll really be able to see who the great
GM's are out there. Owners will be expected to send in either an MP or
an email to the commissioner each week detailing any roster moves. Each
team consists of 35-man rosters and at the end of the season you will
be allowed to protect 10 players. The computer will then draft to fill
your team. The website is http://www.geocities.com/boysofsummerbbl/bosbbl.htm
. You will be able to see the RULES for the league on the site. Currently
we have several openings for what will be our 3rd season. We will be using
the 2003 Season Disk and DMB version 9 for the upcoming season which will
begin in mid-April 2004. If you have any questions please contact Tom
DeCola at tdecola@adelphia.net
Bricks and Ivy Baseball League (Centralized)

winners plus 2 wildcards with next best records), and the league winners
compete in a best of 7 for the prestigous Presser Cup, named after league
founder Dave Presser. Games are simulated daily Monday
through Friday and results posted on the website each
day. Roster changes are submitted and processed each weekend. Our predraft
25 man roster cutdown date and free agent/rookie draft are in March. We

with the intent that you will build your team through the minor leagues.

manager responsible for playing their home games. For more information,
visit the web page at http://dmb-bbl.tripod.com
or contact the commissioner at kssteen@shaw.ca.
B.U.L.L. (Centralized)
This B.U.L.L. (Baseball's Ultimate Leisure League) has a purpose and
it's not what you're thinking. B.U.L.L. has been created as an outlet
for fans of "the great game" to challenge one another, test
their knowledge and in a small way be a part of baseball's wonder.
Diamond Mind version 8 will be the field of play on which the participants
will battle in B.U.L.L. We will operate as a centralized league as all
games will be played on the commissioner's computer.
B.U.L.L. will be arranged into two Leagues with two divisions in each.
The Bush League will be with no designated hitter, while the Texas league
will play with the dh rule in effect. There will be no interleague play
in B.U.L.L. Of course we are increasing the chances of Mad Cow but this
will allow B.U.L.L. to play the League Chanpionship game as it was meant
to be.. a true championship between the leagues. Visit our web site at
http://www.bulltexas.com
B.U.N.T. (Hands-on)
B.U.N.T. (Baseball Using the New Technology) is beginning
its 20th season while also launching its newly redesigned website. This is a 24-team draft league with two six-team divisions
in each of two leagues with the division winners receiving a 1st round
(best of 5 games) 'bye' in the playoffs, while the best 4 wildcard teams
in each league fight to stay alive thru the next 3 rounds (best of 7 games
each round) of post-season play. If you like to play in a no-nonsense
environment with cooperative and reliable managers, and a dedicated and
experienced league office, this is the league for you. While the purpose
of this sim league is recreation, its managers must keep in mind both the spirit and letter
of league policies, rules and sportsmanship. These are items that have contributed
to the longevity and integrity of our organization, while also creating
innumerable friendships over the years.

is a continuous ownership league that runs from April through September
with Playoffs held in October. There are 24 teams in the league, with
6 teams in each division competing in a 160 game schedule. Teams have
40-man rosters and can freeze up to 25 players at the end of the year.
The 2003 player draft will begin sometime in early January 2003. We currently

Cascades Baseball League (Hands-on)
Do you think you could manage the budget of a major league team better
than the bleating owners of MLB? If so, the Cascades Baseball League may
be for you. The CBL is a 24-team league with no DH. The league implements
a salary cap system using long-term contracts and free agent bidding. The
league is designed to emulate the real aspects of decision-making for
major league GMs. Ideally, the process will allow teams to retain players
they would like to keep (at a market price) while also providing a method
for teams to restock talent on an annual basis. We're going to begin season
#4 and have one franchise opening. If you are interested and
would like to see the league Constitution, check out the rules at

Chesapeake Sports Association (Centralized)
The Chesapeake Sports Association is a league based in Northeastern Maryland.
We use the current year season disk. Each team has a up-to 45 man roster,
with a yearly spring draft and free agency during the season. We currently
have 12 teams with openings and a plan for expansion next year. The CSA
plays 162 games with a full playoff schedule. The winner receives a trophy
and the chance to have bragging rights. The CSA utilizes a simple salary
cap system using the MLB salaries. This is to control the power balancce
between teams. We have yearly dues with a website under design for more
league interaction.
The CSA is more of a face to face league with some internet play for
owners. We are looking for local owners to take over existing teams and
take expansion teams for the next season. We are looking for owners in
the Maryland, Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania or within a 2 hour radius
of Baltimore. Our bottom line is to have fun, play baseball. We are a
very active league in all facets and if you are ready for the challenge
email me at Christopher.culler@verizon.net
for more info.

Columbia Baseball League (Hands-on)

The CBL will consist of two 12-team Leagues: (1) AL, using the DH and no h2h play required, (2) NL, no DH and h2h play required about 90% of the time.
There will be no inter-league play so owners can have teams in both leagues.
The CBL is a salary cap league with multi-year contracts. New owners
taking over an existing team will have the ability to renegotiate player contracts or cut them outright. We will hold a live player auction in late December or early January where
you will use your remaining salary cap money to bid on and sign enough
players to fill your 30 man rosters. Game files will be due in to the commissioner weekly.
If you are interested
email Tom Coy at tecoy1965@yahoo.com
and I will send you a copy of the CBL constitution.
Commodore League Baseball (Hands-on)
The Commodore League Baseball organization was created as a tribute to the SSI game BASEBALL from 1982. It is made up of two 12-team leagues (Merrow and Avery) that compete for the Wagner Cup in a 154 game schedule from Spring to Fall each year.
The league uses the current season disk from DMB along with 48 classic players from the MLB teams that appeared in the original SSI game. These players span from 1906 to 1981 and include Hall of Famers and a few single season wonders.
The CLB uses a simple revenue system that allows each team to bid for Free Agents, as well as participate in a draft for rookies and reserves. Each team will be made up of 25 active players and 15 reserve/minor league players. Owners will be able to sign players to contracts and extensions while managing a franchise's finances.

Cyber Diamond Baseball League (Centralized)
The Cyber Diamond Baseball League (CDBL) is the sister league to the
Cyber Field of Dreams (CFOD). The season play is timed to occur in the
off-season of the CFOD and manor league baseball (as those leagues are
winding down, the CDBL is just winding up). All games in this 22-team,
non-DH league are played on the commish's computer. We started with the
1984 season and play 1 season per year. This is a "modern retro"
league, with the simulated season usually being 14 years behind the current
MLB year. This year we will be entering the 1990 Season. A salary cap
is in place that allows for player turnover while still allowing teams
to retain a fair amount of players. The league web page is at http://www.nmia.com/~littaum/cdbl.html.
There are no fees associated with the league. Owner turnover is very low,
so you will likely be placed on a waiting list. But if you are interested
in participating in a fun, stable, and competitive league, send me an
e-mail. Mike Littau, CDBL Commissioner/GM Albuquerque Maul at littaum@nmia.com.
Cyber Field of Dreams (Centralized)
The Cyber Field of Dreams (CFOD) is one of the longest running online
centralized leagues using DMB/PtP. All games in this 24 team, non-DH league
are played on the commish's computer. We started with the 1991 season
and are now generally keep pace with MLB, but 1 year behind. The 2003
CFOD season starts the same time the 2004 MLB season does, and the 2003
CFOD playoffs will occur the same time MLB's playoffs happen. A salary
cap is in place that allows for player turnover while still allowing teams
to retain a fair amount of players. The league web page is at http://www.nmia.com/~littaum/cfod.html.
There are no fees associated with the league. Owner turnover is very low,
so you will lkiely be placed on a waiting list. But if you are interested
in participating in a fun, stable, and competitive league, send me an
e-mail. Mike Littau, CFOD Commissioner/GM Seattle Moshers. email: littaum@nmia.com.
Daze of Summer Baseball League (Hands-on)
So, you've already played in a league or leagues from this list, but
you're looking for something more intriguing. This may be the league for
you. Features like series by series play, a unique
farm system and a restricted player pool (DSBL uses National League Players only) offer the ultimate
managing experience. The Daze of Summer Baseball League is a 14 team league established in 1999.
The DSBL has no dues, uses the latest version of Diamond Mind Baseball,
the previous year's player disk and a limited player retention format
that requires mangers to "contract" up to12 players one year in advance.
The league also features a minor league system where teams are allowed to protect players in their MLB team's minor league system. We are always looking for interactive and responsible people to join our waiting list. Please visit our website at http://webpages.charter.net/m89759241/DSBL.htm to see if any teams are available.
If you really love DMB and want to test your skills as a general manager
and game tactician, you owe it to yourself to give our league a try.
Deep Fly Baseball League (Hands-on)
The Deep Fly Baseball League is a winter league which will be beginning
in September. We are a 28 team organisation, split into two leagues, with
three divisions in each league. Teams carry 40 man rosters, with 25 active
players for most of the season. Teams must cut down to 30 players in the
offseason, with a 10 round draft taking place before the season starts.
The DFBL is a high maintenance league, as usage is 70-120% and players
ending the season over or under are cut. There are a number of teams available
going into the next season, starting in September (with the draft scheduled
for August) using the 2004 DMB disk. If you think you have what it takes
to compete with some of the best managers around get in touch with myself,
Scott, the commish at slaitinen@wi.rr.com,
or Brian, the Deputy commish at tosobnk@charter.net.
A warm welcome is guaranteed. Check out the league website at www.deepflybaseball.moonfruit.com.
A copy of the constitution can be downloaded from there. Thanks for looking.

team names, a 162-game schedule and everything a fantasy league should

Diamond Legends (Centralized)
First introduced in 1992, Diamond Legends was developed in partnership
with Bill James and STATS, Inc. Games are played on the STATS computer
using a special version of the Diamond Mind simulation game that was developed
in conjunction with Bill James. Under a salary cap system, teams are drafted
from a collection of more than 3000 players from the 1870s to the 1990s.
View boxscores and reports online and/or in weekly mailings. New leagues
are always being formed. Visit www.stats.com
for more information or to sign up for a league.
Diamond Mind Baseball Organization (Centralized)
Diamond Mind Baseball Organization (DMBO) is a 30-team league that mirrors
major league baseball as closely as possible. We have the same teams as
Major League Baseball and use the Diamond Mind projection disk each year
in the simulation of the same 162 game schedules as set by MLB.
DMBO started with the 2002 season, with all rosters and payroll being
identical to their major league counterparts. From that time, rosters
as modified by DMBO GM's have carried over from season to season, with
each team having a 25 man active roster, along with a reserve roster of
up to 25 players.
Each team has a salary limit, which is based upon franchise success,
city size, and several other factors. Heavy revenue sharing is conducted
in this league in an effort to help make it more competitive. Free agency
is conducted every off-season, with a 3 round amateur draft taking place
each June. Non-waiver trades are allowed from November 1st to August 31st,
with waiver trades allowed in September. The trading of current and future
draft picks, as well as current and future cash, is allowed.
The season is simulated one week at a time, with full reports of player,
team, and league statistics posted on the league website. The playoffs
consist of the same format as MLB, with simulations taking place one to
two games at a time to allow for more lineup adjustments than the regular
season.
Dues of $5 are charged to new members, with additional dues required
as future league business dictates. For more information on the league,
visit our website at http://www.dmbo.us,
or send an email to dmbo.email@gmail.com.
Currently, we have no openings in the league.
Diamondmind Ultimate Projection League (Hands-on)
The Diamondmind Ultimate Projection League (DUPL) is a unique concept
that uses the Diamond Mind projection disk as the basis for a league incorporating
both MLB and AAA levels. Managers operate a major league and minor league
team on two full levels and schedules, with home and away dates arrayed
so that they do not have to manage both teams at the same time. Liberal
usage rules allow managers to exploit fully the projected ratings for
any player, using them as much or as little as desired, limited only by
fatigue, random injuries, and one's imagination. For drafting and organizational
purposes, teams are keyed to real life MLB franchises and their AAA affiliates:
however, DUPL operates as a draft league. Members must be registered owners
of the most current Diamond Mind projection disk. For further information
and a copy of the league constitution, please contact Christopher Williams
at cawilli@bgnet.bgsu.edu
DMB All Time League (DMBATL) (Centralized)
A 24 team league created in December of 2004 which utilizes the DMB All Time Greatest Players disk, as well as independently created Negro and Japanese League Players. We currently have 16 owners. The league is non-DH and we play a 154 game schedule. We have three divisions in two leagues (Union and Legends Leagues), and use a single wild card per league. No salaries. Our inaugural season started January 16, 2005. We will play 2 series of 4 games each per week. Owners are free to netplay as many games as they can arrange with the other owners. All others will be played on the league president's computer.
Our website can be found at: http://dmbatl.freewebpage.org/. Our Yahoo! Group is located at: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/DMBATL/
Commish and Legends League President's email: emortimer@worldnet.att.net . Union League President's email: phoenix_262@yahoo.com
DMB Pennant Race (Centralized)
DMB Pennant Race is a 24-team league, 2 leagues with 3 divisions each.
We use every major league player's best one year stats over a 3 year time
period, currently 1999-2001. We play a full 162-game schedule, including
interleague play, with wild-card and LCS playoffs along with a World Series.
We hold a player draft in March with draft order based off the previous
seasons standings. Every team is required to cut down to a maximum number
of players before the draft in order to keep parity in the league. After
the start of the season, a free-agent draft is held. There is a team salary
cap and roster size limits. Both leagues use the DH rule. All stats are
posted on our website after each session of 15 games, usually every two
weeks. Owners have full control over their teams including how manager
profiles are setup. Trading is open until the beginning of the last session.
Visit the web site at http://www.dmbpr.com,
for more info.
DMB Replay Alliance (Hands-on)
DMBRA is a group of players that enjoy replaying seasons using the rosters
as they were in MLB. We run multiple seasons per year where members have
the opportunity to manage teams through a season. A season takes roughly
6 months as we play 2 series per week. In addition to our historical replays,
we also have a contemporary league of 24 teams where we have set upa a
salary cap and have some unique rules for interesting play. We will run
2 historical seasons in 2004; 1962 and 1973 look to be the choices.
If interested e-mail Kevin Becklin, the alliance president, at kpbecklin@comcast.net
or visit our website at http://home.nc.rr.com/dmbra/dmbPage/.
Dream Team Fantasy Baseball (Centralized)
The Dream Team Fantasy Baseball league (DTFB) has been in operation since
1990. We are currently in our 22th season. All members of the league must
live near the Pittsburgh area, or be able to travel there up to 4 times
a year. We play two seasons for each calendar year, one running February
to June and the other running August to December. Our web site is http://www.dtfb.org,
and the commissioner can be reached at dfalcione@hotmail.com.
DTS Baseball League (Centralized)
The DTS Baseball League is about to start its second season. A handful
of owner/managers had to give up their team for this new season, and we
are therefore seeking to replace them. The league has a unique set of
operating characteristics. While we use the 2002 final Disk as our base
disk, each team is enhanced with several "All-Time-Great" players
from baseball's past and present. A unique drafting system allows you
to create your style of team, and to include some of the greatest players
in the history of the game on your roster. Yet limits on the number of
top quality players for each team also demands that managers use their
skills to wring the most out of their lineups.
Out league prides itself on providing a quality experience. The commissioner
is dedicated to the league, and provides frequent updates to the web site.
Regular game by game analysis, sort of like reading the sports page in
the paper, is also made available regularly. Big plays, season milestones,
and league rivalries are highlighted through these reports, and the league
seems to come alive before your eyes.
The ideal owner/manager will be someone who loves baseball and the challenge
of managing a team both from the General Manager or Owner's perspective
and also from that of the onfield Manager. Enthusiasm, not experience
or expertise in baseball, however, is the key to being a successful participant
in our league. This is, afterall, meant to be fun and entertaining, so
you don't need to be Casey Stengel or Tony laRussa to participate. What
we are really looking for is someone who, if he finds his team 10 games
out at the All-Star break, sticks with his team: He tries to improve his
chances and strives to remain competitive. If you want to give building
and managing a team, and competing with a bunch of guys who like you,
love the game of baseball, then this league is for you. Visit our website
at http://www.geocities.com/dtsbaseball/home
to get a better look at the league. If interested, send e-mail to our
commissioner, Dan Parent at dtsbaseball@excite.com.

Field of Dreams Baseball League (Centralized)
How many homers would Babe Ruth have hit if he was batting against Pedro
Martinez, Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling? Likewise, would Mark McGwire
and Barry Bonds have broken the home run records of Ruth and Roger Maris
if they were hitting against Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Nolan
Ryan, or Sachel Paige in his prime? How would Negro Leaguers Josh Gibson, Oscar Charleston, Martin Dihigo, Joe Williams and others have performed in the majors? If the move from Pro Yakyu (Japanese Professional Baseball) to Major League Baseball had started earlier, would Sadaharu Oh have out-homered the Babe and Barry Bonds? In the Field of Dreams Fantasy Baseball
League you will find out the answers to these and many more questions.
The Field of Dreams Baseball League (FoD FBL) allows you to draft your
own fantasy baseball team, and then manage your team through a 156-game
regular season and play-offs (should you qualify), pitting yourself against
the other twenty-three managers in the league.
The league is free and fun and you can draft your team from all the
players - active, retired or deceased - who have ever played Major League
Baseball or Pro Yakyu (Japanese Professional Baseball), plus you can select from a limited number of Negro League players.
The league runs parallel with the Major League Baseball season and provides
the opportunity for GMs to actually manage their team. The league also
provides interaction as you can make Press Releases and negotiate trades
with the other GMs. For more information, please visit the website at
http://www.fodfbl.co.uk or email
the Commissioner at Stuart@chezhughes.fsnet.co.uk

Historical Baseball Association (Centralized)
Do you want to have a part in rewriting baseball history? If you join
this league, you'll have a chance to do just that. We will start way back
in 1927, and move quickly to the present. There are 16 teams, 154 games,
and no DH or interleague play. Most league matters will be voted on by
the owners, and I would only vote to break a tie. We would draft 35 players
in the beginning (25 active, 10 reserve), and draft future players only
by need for filling roster spots. If you have any questions, would like
more infomation, or would like to join, contact me at bsbll87@yahoo.com.
Historical Replay League (Hands-on)
The HRL is a historical, hands on, stock replay league. The purposes
of the HRL are:
1. To learn more about and to experience baseball's rich history.
2. To try to improve the team performances of our real life counterparts.
3. To make some friendships with other baseball history enthusiasts.
The highest honors, the "Earl Weaver" award and the "Sparky
Anderson" award will go to the managers who most improve the record
of the team they manage, not the ones who win the World Series (although
there are awards for that too).
We have been replaying DMB's oldest available season, 1927, as our first
replay and are just about ready to start the 1928 season next! Match wits
with other baseball "historians" and experience some of baseball's
exciting past. Check out the Historical Replay League website for more

or email Steve at MilBrave53@cs.com
Independence League (Hands-on)
About to begin our third season, the Independence League is a DMB v9 hands-on league with a group of committed and reliable managers. We will be playing with the 2005 season disk. We are an in-season league with a 20 team format using actual MLB teams. We began the league with the actual 2003 rosters and since then, the teams have been free to trade players, draft picks, pokemon cards, fashion tips or hotdog salesmen. However, each and every season they inherit their actual franchises'
rookies with the rest going into a five round draft. Currently we are full, however, we are
always looking for reliable managers who are interested in being placed on our
waiting list. Mail the commissioner, Mark Wynne, for more information at:
Rimfisher@aol.com or visit our web site at
http://hometown.aol.co.uk/rimfisher/indyleague.html
for our constitution and more information.
International Internet Baseball League (Hands-on)
International Internet Baseball League (IIBL) has openings for its
15th season, starting with the draft in January 2006. The 26 team league has members
all over the world, in 8 time zones, playing a sequential 50 period, 162 game schedule two series
a week through early August. We adhere to deadlines giving memebers time to reqcquaint themselves with their family, watch
the MLB playoffs, or even (horrors!) play some fantasy fotball.
We have had six World Series champions in the last seven years, and there is an
active trading community. To encourage parity, we've cut down on the ability for teams to dump players for draft picks, and aim to have each team competitive.
We have an extensize web site detailing the history of each franchise,
extensive stats are available and there are frank trade critiques.
We can be brutal if you've made a bad trade. If you are interested, please
contact Albert Stein at acstein@atlas.co.uk.
Our web page is at http://www.iibl.net.
International League of Digital Baseball Clubs
(Centralized)
The Digital League brings together all-time greats, hometown heros, and
also-rans from 1893 to the present. Games are run in the Office of the
Commissioner (his PC is in the Netherlands) and results made available
on the league site as owners compete to reach the Digital Series and win
the prestigious Champions Cap.
If you're interested in joining club owners from throughout the US, as
well as Canada, Cuba, and Europe, visit our site at http://dbl.unitedleagues.net/
to see if the DBL offers what you're looking for in a simulation league.
Requests for more information regarding the league and available openings
can be sent to Commissioner Atticus Ryan (dbl@unitedleagues.net).
Internet Simulated Baseball League (Hands-on)
The Internet Simulated Baseball League (ISBL) is now in its 12th season,
with 28 teams using Version 9 and the 2005 season disk. The league features "Eurostyle" two-tier play, with our FTF (NetPlay) Class teams
and our MP (Profile Swap) Class teams divided into Senior and
Junior Circuits. There's a World Series in each circuit, and yearly promotion
and relegation within each class, as well as postseason cup play involving
all 28 teams. If that's not enough, we also have a dynamic economic system
and a yearly free-agent auction that will test your GM abilities to the
fullest.
If you're looking for a league where you can bulldoze your way through to the
championship for the next half-dozen years, this league is not for you. But if you're looking to truly test your mettle as a manager
and GM, then the ISBL is where you should be. League ownership is very stable, but we do maintain a waiting list of prospective owners. Get on it.

International Replay Baseball League (IRBL)
(Hands-on)
The IRBL, playing its 33rd season in 2006, is a 30 team draft league.
Managers download series results and bi-weekly newsletters from the IRBL
Internet web site and send series results via Internet email.
To simplify playing IRBL series using the DMB game and to simplify distribution
(and viewing) of IRBL Newsletters, IRBL documents, DMB player files and
series results, the 'IRBL Menu Program' was designed. Through the use
of this program, all the scoresheets, boxscores, series totals and export
files for each series are all combined into one unique file for easy transfer
to the League Office. Each manager receives a series total text file for
each road series so the scoresheets, boxscores and series statistics can
easily be reviewed.
Click on 'View IRBL Documents' on the IRBL web site for more information.

KuKu Baseball League (Centralized)
The KuKu Baseball League (KKBL) is an 18-team continuous ownership draft league beginning in 2005. Dues are $25.00. We are looking for owners who want to get in on the ground floor of an exciting league. Ideally we would like people who are knowledgeable, competitive, active and friendly. The league has a database on the website, which will automate many tasks and provide a quick reference for owners interested in reviewing players and potential trades. The season runs from April through October. The league draft takes place in January and the minor league draft (developmental rosters) in July. Additional information can be found on the league's website: http://www.kuku-bl.com or email the Commish at: commish@kuku-bl.com.
Las Virtual Baseball Association (Hands-On)
The Las Virtual Baseball Association (LVBA) is a netplay only, 6 team draft league. We use version 9 and the current season disk. We play year round. We will be adding 2 teams after this season (around Nov/Dec) and we have 2 long-time managers leaving after this season. Our rules are simple and geared more to playing the game and having fun. Our website address is http://www.lasvirtualbaseball.com. Please email Wayne Unger at baseballheadny@verizon.net for more information about the league and our upcoming openings.
League of Champions (Centralized)
The League of champions (LOC) is an ultra competitive league that was
founded in 1988. We use the most recently completed MLB season and recreate
it. We have an American League and a National League, 24 teams, a message
board, a stat-sorting web page, and a bunch of fun twenty- and thirty-something managers.
We keep 13 players from season to season, and I do all the work. You draft
and set the lineups and make trades. You choose from the MLB stadium models
(but rename them), can create team logos and everything. No fees are required
ever.
I currently have no manager openings, but they do show up from year to
year. Send me email at loc@unitedleagues.net
if you want to be on the waiting list. This league is a lot of fun, although
people know what they are doing! Experienced managers only, please.
Visit the League of Champions homepage at http://loc.unitedleagues.net.
League of Leagues Baseball (Hands-on)
League of Leagues Baseball (LOLB) completed it's 22nd season
in 2005, preparing for the 23rd in 2006. We originally started out with Strat-O-Matic, but converted to Pursue The Pennant in 1993 and later to Diamond Mind Baseball. The league has
16 teams and no openings, expanding to that number in 2003 and with
no plans to expand further for a while. We play version 9 and will play
that version for the entire 2006 season. Our season usually starts around the final
Monday in March and goes for a 162 game schedule (in 4 divisions) until
October when playoff occur. 8 teams qualify for the post-season and we
are usually complete by the first week in November at the latest. Our
annual Board of Governors meeting in late November/December discusses
any rules or other factors that might or have affected the league. Once
the disk is received in early December, the rosters are issued and the
draft begins, going through 10 rounds and finishing around March 1st.
After a few weeks of simulated seasons, we set it up for the real thing
and start all over again. The commissioner plays all the games on his
computer. The owners either play their respective teams on the commissioner's computer
or they send in profiles and the computer plays their games. The league
has been very successful and we anticipate it lasting for many more years.
Prospective owners interested in joining should contact Commissioner Scott
Gemmill at Smoothup3@yahoo.com
Legends of Baseball League (Centralized)
The Legends of Baseball League uses DMB Version 9and began play back
in 1994 as a two team league. It has grown immensely with owners that
come from all over the globe. The Legends of Baseball League plays a 162
game schedule from April through October with two separate leagues (Cartwright
and Doubleday). Prizes are awarded to the World Series and League champion.
But what sets this league apart from all others is that all players from
1871-present are eligible to be drafted including several selected Negro
Leaguers created by an expert panel from SABR. Every DMB disk is owned
by the league including the newly created Historical Park Database. The
LOB draft is also unique in that it occurs online over the course of two
months. There are no franchise players and no player may be drafted more
than once so there is only one Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, etc. We have 40-man
rosters, weekly changes, and a web site which houses daily updates to
every team. Legends of Baseball is located at http://www.thelegendsofsports.com
and while no openings exist at this point you can contact me at NAntoine@gtw.net
to reserve your spot for the 2005 season. There is no other league in
the world quite like Legends. Legends also offers era specific leagues
such as the 19th centruy or the Deadball era using DMB software. This
is a class league looking for class owners. We have several owners who
have been in the league over 5 years and are always looking for the sophisticated
and intelligent baseball fan.
Lemonwood Fantasy Baseball League (Centralized)
The LFBL is a 13 team league played on the commissioner's computer. We
play our season during the Christmas season when everyone is available
so we really appreciate the way DMB8 accurately and quickly runs a season.
We have been organized since 1991 and started using DMB7 in 1998. There
are no openings currently, but please drop by the website at http://www.geocities.com/comogatas
Let's Play 2 Baseball League (Centralized)
Two games a day. Two seasons a year! The Let's Play 2 Baseball League
began in 1999: playing 2 seasons each calender year using he current DMB
season disk: an "A: and "B" season. Entering 2004, we will
be playing our 9th and 10th seasons! We have a very active ownership of
12 teams. We play YEAR-ROUND - except for our short-lived offseason which
is Thanksgiving until January 1st. One of the most unique aspects of our
great league, not including the year round play and the great fellowship
of the owners, is that each team has 3 Hall-of-Famers! These players have
established rules regarding how long they can play, as well as what years
can be used. Drop by and check out our League webpage - http://www.geocities.com/lp2simbaseball.
We are always looking for great GM's to be placed on our waiting list,
as well as anyone who would like to become part of our league as an "unbiased"
league reporter! We also keep tons of stats as well as league records!
Stop on by! If you like it, let me know! Desabends2@aol.com
Let's Play 2 Total Insanity Independant League (Centralized)
Are you looking for a league without the big stars and the big contracts?
Are you looking for a league that's not going to take up all of your time?
If you answered "yes" to these two questions, this might be
the league for you. The Independent League will have a very unique player
scope, minus over 500 of the "top" major league baseball players.
It will also use the DMB auto-draft function for yearly drafts (15 keepers),
to limit time-consuming, unorganized league drafts.
Why this set-up? The Independent League set-up gives an owner a unique
perspective on managing/running a team, a team which will undoubtedly
be void of the common household names and stars. It gives an owner the
feel of running a real-life independent/minor league team. It will give
the league that "old-time" feeling, when baseball was just a
game and the players were just that, players. It allows some of the unknowns
to become stars and some aging vets a chance to continue playing the great
game. The leaderboards will be filled with the "John Doe's"
of the baseball world, not the A-Rod's and Pedro's. This will definitely
not be your normal league and, chances are, it's the only one of its kind.
It also has a few more twists that you can read about by visiting the
web page. It's "parent" league, the Lp2, is an established league,
with quality owners. Season will be run yearly, from June/July through
Nov/Dec. For more information: http://www.geocities.com/lp2_independant/
Ligue Micro Baseball du Quebec (Hands-on)
Ligue Micro Baseball du Québec is a 12 team league entering its 16th
year in 2005. We use the latest DMB player disk and version 9. The league
features 162-games schedule running from April to September, 40-man rosters,
salary cap based on performance, annual winter draft, all star game, free
agent period, player usage restrictions. We encourage head-to-head play (we
play one series of 6 games against one team every week). If you are interested
in joining the league please contact the commissioner
pierre.bolduc2@sympatico.ca.
For more details, please visit our website:
http://lmbq.dtdns.net
Long Ball Baseball League (Hands-on)
The Long Ball Baseball League (LBBL) is a 24-team league. The league
season roughly parallels the real life major league season and uses statistics
from the previous year. It features continuous ownership of players, including
limited ownership of minor league or foreign players; a season of approximately
162 games plus three rounds of post-season play; and all of the typical
camaraderie of a Diamond Mind league.
We are currently have a full roster of owners, but anyone interested
in being placed on a waiting list can contact the current commissioner,
Chris Conley, at chris_j_conley@yahoo.com.
