We have compiled a database of historical ballpark information that makes it easier to create your own players and use historical parks for new leagues that you assemble. This database can be installed and used with Diamond Mind Baseball version 8 or later.
For every park that has been used since 1901, up to and including 2009, the database contains the wall distances and heights at seven outfield locations, the size of foul territory, playing surface, statistical park factors, and weather information.
NOTE: This database does not include diagrams for these ballparks. Our collection of images for old-time parks can be downloaded at no charge from our web site.
Detailed information on the contents of the database, how we compiled the information, and how to use it with the Diamond Mind Baseball game can be found on our website.
The park information is intended only for use with the Diamond Mind Baseball game, and there is no way to export the information for external use.
NOTE: You do not need to purchase this database just to use past seasons. All Diamond Mind season disks include all of the park information you need to play realistic games with the teams on that disk. The purpose of the Historical Ballpark Database is to (a) enable you to use parks you don't already have in your season disk collection and (b) make it easier to create players for seasons you don't already own using realistic ballpark adjustments.
